A Word From The Fathers |
|
CALLING HIM ABBA
by the Apostle Yashah
As each of us knows all too well, a boiling controversy rages among the remnant over the proper name of the Most High. Many of us have gone as far as to refuse fellowship with differing factions over the pronunciation of His name.
Of course, in such a predicament we must always turn to Mashiach for the final word. And it's no mere coincidence that He taught us to pray "Our father who art in heaven" and not our YHWH!
Now to be sure, He is YHWH - but YHWH is our FATHER! And although His names teach us much about His flawless nature and character, He is our Abba, and we should address Him as such!
Brothers, in all of this misguided zeal for righteousness, our Father is not pleased.
After all, which of you being a father would allow your sons to debate over the proper pronunciation of your name - and then show favor to whichever ones pronounced it properly?
Christ redeemed us from the curse to restore our intimacy with the Most High - to raise us from merely being His subjects to being His sons.
The hour has come for this divisive and prideful debate to cease. Let peace come to the house of Judah! For even with the infinity of all that YHWH is, what He desires first and foremost is not proper etiquette or protocol, but simply to be our FATHER.
Hear O Israel, and hearken ye sons of the Most High -
Through His vicarious death by crucifixion, Christ has purchased for us with His own blood, the unspeakable gift of knowing YHWH, the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, as our Father.
Behold; the Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent One; the Creator and Sustainer of all things, with neither beginning of life, nor end of days; the Almighty - is our Father!
And only His sons can call Him Abba.
May the grace of YHWH our Father be with you. Ahmein. |
